Business Card

I'm really ecstatic to begin work on the Sublime Doughnuts business card! Here's an idea of what I want to do with the Sublime Doughnuts business card. It probably doesn't make sense to you right now, but when I post the physical copy, you should get it.

Finalized Logos

These are the 2 logos that I have decided to take through to the next step in the re-branding process, which is stationery. Before the end of this week, I will post some ideas I have for Sublime Doughnuts' stationery.

My Thoughts After the Critique

I feel like I'll carry these 2 logos onto the stationery stage, but I'm leaning more towards using the first one. Right now, I'm working on tweaking both of the logos based on some of my own ideas and some of the suggestions that I got from the class.

Thanks in advance,

The Design Price Formula

I pulled this from David Airey's site because pricing is something that I've been think about alot lately. Recently I interviewed for a job where I would be designing logos initially and later on fliers, posters, brochures, etc. But when we talked about price we touched on it, but we really didn't go into too much details because pricing presents its challenges. Hopefully using this formula and using what I learned from researching will help me come up with a price and contract that is suitable for both parties.

Convert CMYK Swatches to Pantone Numbers

Now that we're starting to add color(s) to our logos, I'm reminded of a time in which I used CMYK swatches when I was suppose to use Pantone numbers. Since I didn't know how to convert them to Pantone numbers and I didn't want to waste time trying similar colors I searched the internet and found this method to converting CMYK swatches to Pantone numbers and I was so happy with it because it was fast and easy!!

Now we're cooking!

So I've scanned in my sketches and have finished inking them!!! Feeling a lot more confident about the new batch of Sublime Doughnuts logos that I've created. Here are a few of them. Feel free to leave a comment to let me know which ones you like. Can't wait to begin the next step in the re-branding process!

Cool Find!

I was searching for logos on the web and came upon this page of vintage logos from the 70's edition of World of Logotype and I thought I'd share it. So feel free to take look and enjoy them!!
